The idea behind this art piece comes from my childhood memories of playing outside at night under the stars. My inspiration was drawn from the beauty of nature and how magical and mysterious it can appear. Nature is captivating and the way light reflects off its surface creates many colors and patterns. Light refracts off the surface, making everything seem three-dimensional. I tried to capture the magic reflecting off of the trees and sky with a simple color palette. I hope you enjoy it. This artwork was created using original photographs of the midnight tree (a species native to the California Coast) taken at night under the moonlight.
